My Excellent Choices

For those new to cooking, remember to sear your meat to brown it before slow cooking or pressure cooking….and you can do that right in the pot if you choose although I prefer to use a cast iron skillet for searing/browning.  I have had my Lodge  10.25”  Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet for years and it works with induction cooktops as well as conventional cooktops! 

About Slow cookers:

After a LONG search for a non toxic slow cooker with no lead,  I found the Instant Pot with its food grade stainless steel components. Wow! Did I get more than a replacement slow cooker with the purchase of the Instant Pot! Makes the best rice EVER, and I love the pressure cooker option.
